Sven Vinka, author of Sea of Stars and some other TGA23 winners published speeches that did not let them say
For a few days that have passed after The Game Awards last week, fans and developers managed to discuss what the show should have, or what it should not have been. One of the common topics was the desire to hear more from the developers who accepted the awards.
While some owners of awards got up and made speeches that were limited to about 30 seconds, other winners did not take a microphone at all. In such a situation, there were a number of games. Armored Core 6 (Best Action), Resident Evil Village VR Mode (Best VR/AR GGR), FINAL FANTASY 16 (best score), Sea of Stars (Best Indie), Street Fighter 6 (Best Fiting), Honkai: Star Rail (Best Mobile Game) and Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth (the most anticipated) were put in such a position as all e -sports awards and the Content creator of the year.
Journalists from IGN contacted developers who, for some reason, did not have time to make a speech, and invited them to do this "virtual" And they received in response:
Thierry Bulanzhe, co -founder and creative director of Sabotage Studios, as well as the Gamer of the Sea of Stars, the winner in the nomination "The best indie game".
Thank you very much. Throughout the development, I openly said that Sea of Stars is an incredibly personal game for me. It is difficult to convey in words, how much does it mean that the team allowed me to divide this vision, and then put so much effort into it. This is that I will never forget. We are all so lucky that we do what we love, and I try not to forget about it every day when I am honored to create games. Like many other projects, it was a very difficult and eventful journey. All members of the Sabotage team invested an incredible amount of soul and heart in this small world that we created, and this is a real delight to see everyone who gathered to celebrate this event. Thanks to our partners Du Coup Animation for the amazing work on cinema, as well as Kowloon Nights for believed in us from the very first day. And finally, a warm hug for all our fans for their incredible support from the moment the game is announced. Thank you!
Takayuki Nakayaama, Game Director Street Fighter 6 – winner of the competition "Best fighting!"
Among the many strong games that have appeared in recent years, we are very grateful for our game has become the best fighting. All other nominated fights are amazing and brilliant. I would like to express sincere gratitude to the players and members of the developers team, who worked so hard to bring to life the next chapter of the Street Fighter series. We are not going to calm down and continue to develop the game and provide our fans with the best opportunities. Thank you very much for your constant support.
Sukhai Matsumoto, producer Street Fighter 6:
Thank you very much for choosing Street Fighter 6 as the best fighting. I was touched by loud applause in the cinema when we received a reward. I am full of gratitude to the members of the developers team, who took on many challenges, and to everyone who played this game. We will continue to make Street Fighter 6 even more interesting for players, so wait impatiently!
Resident Evil Village Developers team for VR Resident Evil Village – winner in the nomination "Best VR/AR-game"
It is a great honor for me to be chosen as the best VR/AR game. From the solitude of the snow mountains to the ornate beauty of the castle and the frightening vastness of Lady Dimitrest – to be in the place of Itan Winter and see the world of the game from his point of view in the PSVR2 version of the Resident Evil Village – this is a unique and unforgettable experience. We value very much and thank you for your support!
Phil Kricifo, Creative Director of AWACEB and gamedector Tchia
This is especially symbolic in my heart, because for the first time we showed Tchia on this show, and then we could not believe that a small piece of culture of New Caledonia would be shown to millions of people around the world for the first time. We were incredibly proud then, and we are even more proud today. Thanks to Game Awards for celebrating games like ours and congratulations to other nominees that deserve this no less. And most importantly, I would like to thank the entire population of New Caledonia for supporting and accepting Tchia all this time. This award is not just a celebration of what we did is fuel in order to continue to move on and tell stories that are deeply ours, believing that they will find a response from all of you.
The head of Larian, Sven Vinka, also published a full version of his speech, but only on the social network X, where he did not forget to mention the dismissal in the Dungeons team & Dragon at Wizards of the Coast.
Vinka said that the armor that he put on the ceremony is a tribute to the players of Baldur’s Gate 3, without which the game would be impossible. He also notes 2000 employees who are mentioned in a huge list of titers of role -playing game.
In particular, Winka notes "The QA team, the localization team, the customer support team, the operations team, the publishing house team, and the game testing team" How "people who do not always receive a well -deserved assessment". This is a very pleasant touch from the director of Baldur’s Gate 3.
Then Vinka paid tribute to Jim Saustuvut, the head of the Larian cinematic animation department, who, unfortunately, died during the development of Baldur’s Gate 3. Not without gratitude to the Pitstop Production Localizer company, which, according to Vinka, had to record "Crazy" number of replicas for the game.
Games are a unique form of art, no less important than books, music or cinema. Many developers, including me, are engaged in games, as they like to watch how people interact with their creations. As it is impossible to interact with nothing more.
