Boycot War Thunder failed – the organizers themselves were noticed on this day in the game

On May 26, it was to be the day of the Great Revolution of the Community against the creators of War Thunder. It turned out that the boycott, which the generations of gamers were supposed to remember, turned out to be nothing more than innocent intimidation.

History remembers a lot of shocks, strikes and revolutions that had a significant impact on the fate of the world. One of these shares (well, maybe a slightly smaller scale) was to be a boycott, which was called by gamers, dissatisfied with the latest decisions of the Gaijin Entertainment studio.

Recall that the creators of War Thunder have made a number of wrong decisions within a few days – from controversial changes to the game economy to hiding the Steam version on the official production site (probably not to contribute to the influx of new critical comments). To top it off, 80,000 reviews were hidden on Valve, recognized by the so -called so -called "Revoy-bombing".

The impulse followed by the strike portended an unprecedented event, the scale of which will amaze even the oldest gamers. And what flew out of a huge gun directed towards the developers? Almost no one noticed this.

According to Steamdb, on May 26, War Thunder was more popular than in the previous few days. At the peak of popularity, 80 667 players played the game.

It is not surprising that the boycott failed, because the organizers of the boycott, who so loudly called for the revolution, themselves carefully played War Thunder that day. This is evidenced by screenshots from their Discord channel (below). It is interesting that, according to the user of Reddit, anyone who decided to publicly criticize this behavior was banned by the moderation of the channel.

Two days ago, Gaijin Entertainment apologized on the official game website. From the accompanying information, we learned that the correction of the economy system is a priority task for developers. They plan to publish a detailed plan of their actions until June 14.
